What is the Animal Health and Welfare Pathway ?
This is a government funded scheme working with vets and farmers aiming to improve animal health, welfare and production on farms.
The scheme funds an annual advisory visit from their vet of their choice to review the health and welfare of your animals.
The review can include:
biosecurity, the use of medicines, bespoke advice on disease control, diagnostic testing and general support to improve health and welfare.
add value to assurance schemes (such as Red Tractor)
The scheme is available for farmers who have:
11 or more beef cattle
11 or more dairy cattle
21 or more sheep
51 or more pigs
